Position Overview

VirtuPlay Zone is seeking energetic, responsible, and customer-focused Guest Experience Hosts to be the first point of contact for our guests. This role includes welcoming guests, managing check-in, processing payments, supporting party flow, and helping ensure a safe, fun, high-energy experience. This is a cross-trained position within an interactive entertainment environment that includes a VR arena, sports simulators, arcade games, and party rooms. We are looking for team members who are confident communicators, quick thinkers, and thrive in a fast-paced, tech-forward environment. Training is provided. No prior experience required.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience

Greet guests promptly and help get them started
Explain attractions, pricing, and packages clearly
Answer guest questions and provide directions or assistance
Maintain positive, friendly attitude

Party Support

Welcome party families and check them in
Confirm package details and outstanding balances
Coordinate with party hosts and floor staff
Help keep party schedules organized and on time

Check-In & Waivers

Ensure waivers are completed accurately before participation
Verify reservations, party details, and time slots
Confirm age requirements where applicable
Assist with guest flow and wait time management

Operational Duties

Maintain clean and organized front desk area
Balance and reconcile cash drawer at shift end
Report incidents, issues, or concerns to management
Assist other areas of the facility as directed

POS & Sales

Process payments accurately using POS systems
Sell game cards and attraction packages
Offer upgrades and additional play time when appropriate
Handle basic refunds per company policy

VirtuPlay Zone is seeking energetic, organized, and guest-focused Part-Time Party Captains to lead and manage birthday parties and group events in our interactive entertainment venue. This role is responsible for hosting parties from start to finish, coordinating activities, assisting guests, serving party food (non-alcoholic), and ensuring a fun, smooth, and memorable experience for guests and families. The ideal candidate is outgoing, dependable, comfortable working with children, and able to manage groups in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Hosting

Greet party families and guests upon arrival
Serve as the primary point of contact for the party group
Maintain a fun, upbeat, and engaging atmosphere
Ensure party guests feel welcomed, included, and supported

VirtuPlay Zone is seeking energetic, reliable, and tech-comfortable Interactive Attractions Specialist to operate and supervise our virtual reality arena and sports simulator bays. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality guest experiences, ensuring safety, operating and maintaining equipment, troubleshooting basic technical issues, and keeping sessions running smoothly and on schedule. This is a cross-trained floor position. Specialists may rotate between VR, sports simulators, and general floor support based on business needs and scheduling.

Session Flow & Timing

Start and end sessions on time
Manage rotation between groups and party schedules
Communicate timing delays or issues to the front desk

Facility & Floor Support

Maintain cleanliness and organization of VR and simulator areas
Store equipment properly at shift end
Assist with general floor coverage during peak or slow periods
Support other attractions or guest needs as directed

Equipment Operation & Technical Support

Set up, launch, and manage VR and sports simulator sessions
Calibrate headsets, controllers, and simulator equipment
Adjust settings (difficulty, player modes, etc.) as needed
Troubleshoot basic technical or software issues
Reset equipment and play areas between groups
Log and report recurring equipment issues

Safety & Supervision

Monitor guests at all times during gameplay
Enforce safety rules and physical boundaries
Stop gameplay immediately if unsafe behavior occurs
Report incidents or concerns to management
Ensure equipment is cleaned and sanitized between sessions

This role is responsible for preparing simple food items, serving beer and wine, operating the POS system, maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards, and delivering fast, friendly service to guests. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, able to multitask, and maintains professionalism while serving both families and adult guests in a fast-paced environment.

Greet guests promptly and take food and beverage orders
Provide friendly, efficient, and accurate service
Answer questions about menu items and ingredients
Maintain a positive, professional attitude
Ensure guests receive correct orders in a timely manner

Food Preparation

Prepare simple menu items (pizza, chicken tenders, cheese sticks, etc.)
Operate fryer and oven equipment safely
Follow portioning, cooking, and presentation standards
Monitor cook times to avoid over- or under-cooking
Follow all food handling, sanitation, and hygiene procedures

Beverage Service

Serve beer and wine responsibly
Verify valid identification for alcohol purchases
Follow all TABC rules and company alcohol service policies

POS Cash & Handling
